Hey all,

A demo version of my singleplayer Nazi Zombies map (currently version 0.2a) is now available to download, you can get it at AvP2files or my website, you can also view the readme file here.

Scroll to the bottom of this post for version details and what's to come in future versions.

This was originally 'Thrownspear's idea (his thread can be found here) but I decided to have a crack at it, if you've played CoD5 then you'll know it's a survival map where you hold out for as long as possible, wave after wave blasting away at slimey aliens that are coming from all around, with bosses and upgrades after set amounts of time, said upgrades range from weapons, health/armour and the exosuit!

The map itself based off the well known Nazi Zombie level 'Nacht der Untoten' in the fifth game in the Call of Duty franchise, World at War - I've mainly attempted the layout, but on the most part it's a different map all together.

There will be both a Singleplayer and hopefully a Multiplayer version for you co-op goers, within the SP version will be multiple game types (solo, coop with marines, defend the civillians, etc etc) and multiplayer will be standard cooperative survival.






Current version 0.2a - Features:
-Alien hordes; currently made of drones, runners and praetorians.
-Marine Survival Gameplay, as of v0.2a you can now play as the Predator! There are weapon pickups for him and escorts for both races.
-The 'Security System', consisting of ceiling/sentry turrets, once enabled they will shoot hostiles for up to 30 secs,  they will then disable with a cool-off period of 40 secs -- this system is still being tweaked however, number of turrets and their duration is due to change, version by version.
-AI 'Escorts', two marines/two predators depending on your race choice - at map spawn you will be a marine, in the same room as the power switch there is a spear which can be used to morph into the Predator, this will also enable two predator 'escorts' to help you.

UPDATED - VERSION 0.2a

Download and Readme.


Version 0.2a - Changes:

-Introduced Escorts and Race changing, read the features section of the readme for more information.
-Tweaked times, aliens variably may spawn more slowly based on max delay setting, but there is still a chance that they will spawn sooner! -- Praetorian max spawn time increased to 160 with a minimum of 120.
-Security System now lasts for only 30 seconds (used to be 40 secs), grace period is now 40 seconds, was 20 secs.
-Updated Navigation slightly, stupid AI will probably still collide with scenery however.

Tried it! and i must say that was really "amazing" and love that evil laugh you hear man along with the army of aliens attacking you lol... thats just Classic "AvP2" right there !

Keep up the good work and release more stuff like this!  Wink

I haven't anything big in the pipes right now, only the odd map here and there that I've started, but I'm not motivated to bring them up to release standard.
