	1/5/2015 - (all servs gone?) I noticed the tbbc main site is down, avp2 client doesnt work for my friend and i - what happened?

	probably under attack are 2 days i see a lot of lag in any servers server list its of line http://tbbcbase.net/serverlist probably server shot down no idea man

	Because TBBC has many foes... my forum server and site have been attacked in the past (mostly russian ip address) not sure the legit status on that though.

	the last time I spoke with Rommie. had pointed out as the command VVSS could have a vulnerability. same story in regard to the possibility of changing the nickname. I wonder if they are not using exactly this flaw to attack. it seems strange that the other servers are up.

	Lucifer rommie didnt point on that as weaknest of server,why is vv voting system.Well you have three grenade launcher spammers and they will vote for leadworks and ruin others players gameplay.As x-M-x sad there TBBC have foes,it is most played server,almost all players are there,only some guys that play life cycle or they are banned on tbbc...Well maybe servers are broken,humans get broken why it is problem with electronics.Heads up Lucifer even if TBBC never come back I know you wont let this game die

	The servers are down for quite some time... Somebody must be really pissed off. If they had technical problems, they would be back sooner. True... I've heard that cloudflare is good in protecting the servers ip from some script kiddies, caches the site and the basic stuff is free. I don't know how vulnerable the server port behind cloudflare would be but it would be enough to keep the forum safe from any DDOS spam. They basically switch themself in front of the server and check if its ok for the client to connect and cache web stuff to minimize the load on the server. A bit OT but is there any server side software for AVP2 that is running under Linux (Arm) or some C Source that could be compiled? Wine is a bad idea. I have a 50k/10k cable from a Level 1 ISP close to Frankfurt/Germany and free space on a machine that is running 24/7. Just curious because theres no EU server with a ping lower than 70 other than TBBC. The [EU] ones are ok but could be better.

	No it's not nearly as bad as you guys think it is . There have been a few minor attacks in the past but this isn't one of them. The server has been having technical issues for quite some time and things have changed for the worse. At this point we can't ensure a reliable service and due to lack of time and interest we decided to discontinue the server. Running an AvP2 server on Linux is pointless. The Linux source code was never released. Porting it also is no option without the LithTech source code. The EU and AvP Unknown servers run on Wine. I have no idea how much overhead that gives but it's not faster than a Windows machine. ARM is unable to run any x86 software without emulation so the overhead on that would be enormous. A full server uses at least 8Mbps. The master server is secure for now. I'll try to release a new update and dedicated server in a few weeks so people can run better servers.
