Disproportionate self esteem, their skills and merits that follow, whether they are real or perceived. Pride is shown outwardly by a haughty attitude, dismissive and ostentatious sense of superiority towards others. It is self-exaltation carried to contempt of others, or the laws of any order.
 
In its superb often it arises the will to win, only for himself, and by every means possible, a very privileged position, superior to others, who must acknowledge and demonstrate to accept their inferiority and the undeniable superiority of the proud.
 
In Christianity, the sin of pride is considered the worst of the seven deadly sins, because the root of every other sin and why, when taken to its furthest extremes, brings superb even considered equal or superior to God, with the consequent contempt of His love and His Order. It is the sin of Lucifer, the origin of his fall from Heaven.
Unshakeable belief that they are superior to anyone else.
