There was this set of custom sounds for the railgun I had way back when, it was like it turned the usual SFX for the railgun into those of Sam Fisher's SC2K silenced assault rifle from the early Splinter Cell games.

When applied to AvP2's gun it was very slick and very cool, because it was much quieter and less intrusive somehow. Even the zoom in, zoomout and select/deselect sounds were changed to the splinter celll ones as well. I've looked around filefront but can't seem to find it. It may have been just a part of another mod or something but I can't remember where when or how I got hold of it the first time. Guess a lot of these old mods and things for AvP2 are being killed by time, I tried to download of M's skins from filefront and it wouldn't let me.

Yeah I reckon it was part of some larger mod like one of those you mentioned...just rackin my brains trying to remember what it was. Anyway I'll keep on it.

Speaking of which I was looking for other AvP2 stuff on the net and ended up on this old post by someone from 2003 where he lists a load of sites to do with AvP2 skinning, I tried out all of those links and 95 percent of them were dead/expired, got a really sad feeling from that...
