Latest map will take us out of space stations and colonies for a bit while we pack our bags and head to something a bit more contemporary.

Underground Metro to surface evac / survivor map.







Gameflow is planned as follows:

  • Marine spawn in the subway train, aliens on the roof of it. Falling off the train will kill you, its moving quite fast.
  • Marines move forward to the control car and hack the breaks to stop the train, aliens attack marines trying to do this (they can enter the train via the side windows highlighted in the screen shots by yellow / black hazard texture).
  • The train will gradually slow coming to a stop at a station, at this point the doors will open allowing marines to exit the train.
  • Marines must then move from the underground station to the surface exit, aliens give chase.


The above pictures are a work in progress, the map will feature resetting events on new evac and survivor rounds the same way hadleys hope does. This map will not be as complex as the previous sUk maps but will focus on a solid experience for the player in a more nowadays setting.

I will update this post as progress is made with new screens / video. Feedback, ideas and suggestions always welcome!

Awesome, i assume you will have train/subways sounds etc ?

This sounds like it could also be a singleplayer challenge-style map with ai aliens.

Looks and sounds cool.

Might I suggest putting a bomb on the train with a timer. Cheesy

Cheers guys,

At the moment i'm trying to only use assets within avp2, mixing a few sounds together to get the subway sounds. I might consider using custom sounds but will need to find good quality ones and compress them down to save space. Will consider this once the build is complete and we are on the final detail pass.

Evac and survivor maps can easily be converted to sp / coop once completed, the idea was to add survivor, evac and coop on TeamDM.

Glad to see a new subway map. The interior, at first glance, reminds me of the interior of the trains in Mad_Max_RW's SubwayRide map for his AVP Classic 2000 Redux mod. You can apply that map to your game without the Redux mod through my Universal Map Pack if you own AVP Classic 2000.

It kind of does olde! Smiley

Small update for you ladies, in editor shoot of the city section, still a very early work in progress but two buildings are taking shape, access to roof tops via lifts, most roof tops will be connected by small walk ways, preds / aliens will have a great time traversing the cityscape while humans will be offered excellent sniping positions.

This may well shape up to be a TDM release as well.
