that's the error i get every time i try to join the master server. And then it crashes back to desktop. I was able to play a much older version of the master server.. But once they brought out another update I was unable to play since then. And trust me, I've tried EVERYTHING to get it working again.

tried re-installing the master server AND the game (several times), tried putting avp2p5.rez in the command line, tried xfire, tried another program to see and join the master server (can't remember what it was called), tried installing with and without direct x 8 and gamespy and a bunch of other things. Still has not worked.

Any ideas on what is wrong? I think it stopped working since the 1.2 or 1.3 update

Also had tried that, forgot to mention it cause I didnt remember till you said something.


EDIT: I am also running Windows XP 64bit and have tried all the other compatibilities.

anything past 1.2.(whatever) the really old patches that lithfaq did don't work. So that includes 1.3.(whatever), 1.4.(whatever) and 1.5.(whatever) cause it's something they did/changed that made it stop working for me.

But no I turned off my firewall (both net and computer ones) to see if that mattered and that didn't work either.
