I have already done that.

However when I go on to multiplayer and it says I should update there is the option of 'yes' or 'cancel.' Whatever I hit leads to the same result - the screen which is at the beginning of this thread.

I've got the same problem than safina, I installed the game (with the CD-ROM version), patched a first time with the 1.0.9.6 patch, launched the game (adjusted the graphics options) and went to the multiplayer menu. I entered my CD-Key. But a window came telling that a new patch was released. I remembered that their servers were closed, and reasearched a solution on Internet. I saw this site, then I installed the 4 patchs you give there. Re-launched the game, re-changed the graphics), and re-tried the internet game. It didn't ask for my CD-Key this time, I tried to find a game and the list was empty.
I tried with my personnal firewall disabled, and to put my computer in the DMZ with my router menu, and in Administrator mode but still don't work.

Edit : In the menu and single-player mode, all texts are in english, but the voices are in french. And I'm running the game in Windows 7, in compatibility mode with Windows XP (SP2 or SP3).

I forgot to say that I have already made it. I didn't really erased it but cut and paste it in Fox folder, so they're no more in AvP2 directory but one folder before (so I think they're no more detected by the game).

A last thing I forgot to say. I didn't installed Gamespy when it propose me to do it.
