For starters I am on Windows 10 x64. Figured that would be very relevant info.

So I downloaded and installed AvP2 from an ISO rip available on MyAbandonWare.com (I can't post the link because this is my first post on this forum BUT: myabandonware.com/game/aliens-versus-predator-2-bga).

Malwarebytes said it was safe (and it's not a virus or anything), but I could not get the game to work. In the handy installation guide on this forum, the major consensus was that reinstallation, and a registry cleaning was a good way to get back on track. HOWEVER, when I go to uninstall the game I get an error message stating: Error Extracting Supported Files Catastrophic Failure.

A quick Google search revealed that it was usually caused by a corrupted InstallShieldWizard file. Basically the Windows 10 OS doesn't know HOW to uninstall the game. I tried remounting the ISO and uninstalling from the initial Setup.exe and that did nothing as well.

I am quite frustrated, as I really wanted to get back into this game. Also, in a worst case scenario, if I cannot get it working I really want to reclaim the gibabyte and change of space.

Any assistance in getting AvP2 uninstalled would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So I ran the registry scan and it did all its fixes. However, I still got the above error when trying to uninstall the software. Should I just tell it to delete it?
